摘要:
When gradation expression is made for cyan, for example, overprinting by ink C' of a low concentration of cyan is done to express low gradation portions, and high gradation portions are expressed by adding a blue ink B of a high concentration and a green ink G of a high concentration to the former. In expressing the high gradation portions, a hue in the high gradation portions can be changed delicately by changing a discharge ratio of the blue ink B of a high concentration to the green ink G of a high concentration, and color reproducibility can be improved.

A light source estimation method of this invention estimates from the sensor response the color characteristics of an unknown light source of an image-pickup scene, in order to improve white balance adjustment and other aspects of the quality of color reproduction; a projection conversion portion 6 projects sensor response values 5 into an image distribution 9 in an evaluation space not dependent on the image-pickup light source 2 using parameters obtained by operations which can be colorimetrically approximated from spectral sensitivity characteristics of image-pickup unit 4, which are known, and from spectral characteristics of an assumed test light source 1; an evaluation portion 10 evaluates the correctness of a plurality of the test light sources 1 based on the distribution state of sample values of the projected scene; and accordingly, the correct image-pickup light source 2 is estimated.
摘要:
A printer device and a picture printing method is disclosed, in which, if the gradation for cyan is to be represented, an ink C' of low concentration is superimposed to represent the low gradation area. This cyan ink is used in combination with a high-concentration blue ink B and a high-concentration green ink G to represent a high gradation area. In representing the high gradation area the emitting proportions of the high-concentration blue ink B and the high-concentration green ink G are changed to enable the color hue in the high gradation area to be varied delicately to improve color reproducibility.
