摘要： Stapler (10) having an anvil (70) mounted on a support arm (58) to be movable from a clinching (FIG. 5) to a non-clinching (FIG. 6) position. Stops (66, 68, 72, 94) are provided to retain the anvil (70) in either selected position. To move from one position (FIG. 5) to the other (FIG. 6) a pivot (54) arrangement is provided for the anvil support arm (58) to pivot the same to the frame (30, 32) of the stapler (10). To engage and disengage the stops (66, 68, 72, 94) the anvil support arm (58) is moved axially (FIG. 10) of the pivot (54).
