摘要: To provide a forming device that can be reduced in size. A forming device 10 that forms a metal pipe by heating and expanding a metal pipe material 14 includes: a pair of an upper die 12 and a lower die 11 between which the metal pipe material is heated and expanded; upper electrodes 17 and 18 and lower electrodes 17 and 18 that sandwich both end parts of the metal pipe material 14 therebetween from upper and lower sides to heat the metal pipe material 14; and a busbar 52 that is connected to the lower electrodes 17 and 18 to supply electric power from a power supply 51. The need for a busbar 52 that is connected to the upper electrodes 17 and 18 is eliminated and the entire busbar region is reduced to reduce the forming device 10 in size.

摘要: To provide a forming system and a forming method capable of improving sealing properties when a fluid is supplied to a metal pipe material. In a forming system (100), a controller (20) controls a heater (6) so as to heat end parts (14a and 14b) of a metal pipe material (14) at least before the supply of a fluid by a fluid supply unit (10). Therefore, at least before the supply of the fluid by the fluid supply unit (10), the end parts (14a and 14b) of the metal pipe material (14) are likely to be deformed by being heated by the heater (6). In such a state, the end parts (14a and 14b) of the metal pipe material (14) can be easily expanded by a pressing force generated by pressing nozzles (7 and 8) against the end parts (14a and 14b) of the metal pipe material 14, respectively. Accordingly, the nozzles (7 and 8) can secure sufficient airtightness via expanded parts (14c and 14d) of the metal pipe material 14.

摘要: Provided are a forming apparatus and a forming method, in which it is possible to obtain a forming product having suitable characteristics. A control unit (70) makes cooling of the metal pipe (80) by a cooling medium be performed, by controlling an operation of a blow forming die (13) such that the blow forming die (13) is opened and controlling the cooling unit (90) such that the cooling unit (90) brings the cooling medium into contact with the metal pipe (80), subsequently to completion of forming by the blow forming die (13). In this manner, by performing the cooling by contact with the cooling medium, it is possible to slow down a cooling rate, compared to the cooling by contact with the blow forming die (13), and thus quenching to enhance the toughness of the metal pipe (80) becomes possible. Further, in a case of performing cooling by using the cooling medium, by adjusting a contact time with the cooling medium, the amount of the cooling medium, the temperature of the cooling medium, or the like, it is possible to easily perform adjustment of hardenability, compared to the cooling by contact with the die.

At least one of an upper die (12) and a lower die (11) that are paired each other is moved in a direction in which the dies are combined together to form a main cavity part (MC) and a sub-cavity part (SC) communicating with the main cavity part (MC), and a gas is supplied into a metal pipe material between the upper die (12) and the lower die (11) to form a pipe part (100a) of a metal pipe (100) and a flange part (100b) of the metal pipe (100) in the main cavity part (MC) and the sub-cavity part (SC), respectively. Furthermore, by controlling a flange forming member (94) by the controller, the flange forming member (94) is allowed to advance in the sub-cavity part (SC), the formed flange part (100b) is crushed, and thus a flange part (100c) adjusted to be made thin is formed.
