The cooking device (1) also includes heating plates (11, 13) and a heating units. The heating plates (11, 13) are removably attached to the upper housing and the lower housing. The heating unit (17, 19) are disposed in the upper housing and the lower housing and includes a heating element (27) and a heat conducting plate (25) between the heating element (27) and the heating plate (11, 13). The heat conducting plate (25) conducts heat from the heating element (27) to the heating plate (11, 13).
