摘要： A method for providing a UI and a portable apparatus applying the same are provided. The method for providing the UI of the portable apparatus includes determining whether motion of shaking the portable apparatus a predetermined number of times is input or not using a sensor included in the portable apparatus, and, if the motion of shaking the portable apparatus the predetermined number of times is input, providing haptic feedback according to a number of pieces of information displayed on a notice window of the portable apparatus. Accordingly, if a predetermined event occurs, haptic feedback corresponding to the predetermined event is provided, so that the user can identify the event without seeing a display.

Accordingly, it is possible to select a device to receive the content more easily and intuitively, and also input a command to select the device to receive the content and to transfer the content with one single manipulation.
