The present disclosure may be applied to an intelligent service (for example, a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, a security and safety-related service, etc.) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. The present invention proposes a method and a device, of a terminal using a millimeter wave, for selecting an antenna in order to transmit/receive a signal in a next-generation communication system. According to the present invention, the terminal may select, on the basis of information acquired from a sensor, an antenna having no physical contact or positioned in a relatively high position so as to have a good channel environment, and accordingly, signal transmitting/receiving performance may be improved.

According to the present invention, a method by which a transmitter transmits data comprises a step of transmitting a data packet to a receiver, receiving hybrid ARQ (HARQ) feedback information based on a decoded result of the data packet, generating a data packet to be re-transmitted on the basis of the HARQ feedback information, and transmitting, to the receiver, the data packet to be re-transmitted, wherein the HARQ feedback information can include acknowledgment (ACK) or negative-acknowledgment (NACK) and information including a HARQ status of the data packet.
