The present disclosure relates to a communication technique of fusing a 5G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G system with an IoT technology and a system thereof. The system may be used for an intelligent service (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security and safety related service, or the like) based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT related technology. The present disclosure discloses a method and apparatus for a terminal and a base station in a wireless communication system.

The present disclosure relates to a method and device for reporting channel state information. The method for a terminal according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving feedback configuration information from a base station; measuring a channel state using a reference signal received from the base station; and reporting channel state information using two subsamplings at a reporting time which is determined on the basis of the feedback configuration information.

The present disclosure relates to a method performed by a user equipment, UE, in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving, from a base station, a system information block, SIB; transmitting, to the base station, a random access preamble for a random access procedure; receiving, from the base station, a random access response for the random access procedure; performing, to the base station, a physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH, transmission in the RACH procedure according to uplink resource allocation information included in the random access response, wherein application information of transform precoding for the PUSCH in the RACH procedure is identified based on the received SIB; receiving, from the base station, a radio resource control, RRC, setup message; entering into an RRC_CONNECTED state, based on the reception of the RRC setup message; and performing, to the base station, a PUSCH transmission, wherein application information of transform precoding for the PUSCH is identified based on the received SIB, in case that UE-specific application information of transform precoding for the PUSCH is not included in the RRC setup message.
