摘要： A transporting path is adapted to transport a first target medium (P) in a first direction, and to transport a second target medium (D) in the first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction. A liquid ejecting head (36) is adapted to eject liquid droplets toward the first target medium (P) and the second target medium (D). First and second rollers (41,42) are disposed in a downstream side of the liquid ejecting head relative to the first direction, and adapted to nip the first target medium (P) therebetween. A supporting member supports the second roller and is movable between a first position at which the second roller comes in contact with the first roller and a second position at which the second roller is separated from the first roller. A releaser (6) is rotatably supported on the supporting member (45) and operable to move the supporting member between the first position and the second position in accordance with the rotation thereof. The releaser (6) has a lever (61) which is projected into the transporting path when the supporting member is placed in the first position. The lever (61) is adapted to be pushed by a leading edge (57) of the second target medium (D) transported in the second direction, thereby receding from the transporting path and rotating the releaser in a such a direction that the releaser (6) moves the supporting member (45) to the second position.

摘要： Holes are formed at positions corresponding to the edge position of a recording medium that is mounted on the mounting portion of a tray, so that light reflectivities from the holes relative to the recording medium differ. As for the main scanning direction, the holes are located at positions symmetrical to the centering position for the mounting portion in the main scanning direction, and as for the sub-scanning direction, located near the recording start position for the recording medium, relative to the centering position for the mounting portion in the sub-scanning direction. With this arrangement, after the holes have been detected and the centering position for the recording medium in the main scanning direction has been detected, the sub-feeding distance whereat the tray is to be moved to the search position can be shortened, and the shifting of the centering position for the recording medium due to the skewed feeding of the tray can be reduced or prevented.

摘要： A liquid ejecting head (18) is adapted to eject liquid toward a target medium (P1).
