摘要： The present invention relates to a video receiving apparatus (150) for receiving, from a transmission channel (160), video data encoded in a predetermined method and attached information attached to the video data. The apparatus comprises a reception unit (151) for receiving said video data and said attached information; and a control unit (153) for controlling display of the video data using said attached information received by said reception unit. The attached information includes format information indicating a three-dimensional video data format, and said control unit (153) generates a signal for three-dimensionally displaying said video data in accordance with the three-dimensional video data format indicated by said format information. When said attached information excludes the format information indicating the three-dimensional video data format, said control unit (153) generates a signal for two-dimensionally displaying said video data. The control unit (153) determines a timing of switching between three- dimensional display mode and two-dimensional display mode for displaying said video data, in accordance with said attached information received.

摘要： The present invention relates to a video receiving apparatus (150) for receiving, from a transmission channel (160), video data encoded in a predetermined method and attached information attached to the video data. 摘要： Disclosed herein is a 3-D image display unit that can be controlled flexibly to protect the user from eyestrain and operated easily. The 3-D image display unit includes measuring means for measuring a display time of a 3-D image, parallax adjusting means for instructing 3-D image forming means to adjust the parallax of the 3-D image. In the case where the 3-D image display time measured by the measuring means exceeds a predetermined time, the parallax adjusting means instructs the 3-D image forming means to reduce the parallax of the 3-D image to be formed, thereby the display means comes to display a 3-D image having a small parallax. The user can thus be protected from eyestrain.
