Abstract: A battery separator and a method for preparing the same are provided. The battery separator comprises: a substrate which is a polyvinylidene fluoride non-woven fabric; and a coating layer formed on each surface of the substrate, in which the material of the coating layer comprises an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and a linear low density polyethylene.
