摘要： An electrolyte solution for nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary batteries containing a room temperature molten salt composed of an aliphatic quaternary ammonium salt represented by the formula (1) below, an organic solvent, and a lithium salt represented by the formula (2) below is characterized in that the organic solvent contains a vinylene carbonate in an amount of 1-5 weight% relative to the electrolyte solution. Also disclosed is a lithium secondary battery employing such an electrolyte solution. (1) (2) (R1-R3 represent a chain hydrocarbon having 1-4 carbon atoms; R4 represents a methoxymethyl group, ethoxymethyl group, propoxymethyl group or isopropoxymethyl group; and X1 and X2 represent fluorine-containing anions.)
