    摘要: A method of installing and tensioning a buoy (10) at a subsea anchoring location, the method comprises the following steps. A buoy (10) is floated over a subsea anchoring location. One or more tethers (T) are hung off the buoy (10) such that each tether (T) extends from the buoy (10) towards the subsea anchoring location. Each tether (T) is provided with a tensioning apparatus (16) at the buoy (10) for tensioning the tether. Each tether (T) is connected to the subsea anchoring location and tensioned with the tensioning apparatus (16), wherein the tensioned tether pivots about an articulated support (28, 30) on the buoy (10).

The main conduit and the secondary conduit are for installation below the sea surface. The method includes spooling onto a reel an elongate member in a first configuration for transportation and/or storage until such a time that it is ready to be deployed. The first configuration is a substantially planar configuration. The method also includes paying the elongate member out from the spool and causing or allowing the elongate member to adopt a second configuration and form the protection system for the secondary conduit. The second configuration is a substantially non-planar configuration. The elongate member is coupled to an external surface of the main conduit.
