摘要： A wheelchair frame has first and second side frames, a slider housing, and a slider member mounted for movement relative to the slider housing. Links connect the slider housing to both the first and second side frames, and links connect the slider member to both the first and second side frames. Movement of the slider member relative to the slider housing actuates the links to change the spacing between the first and second side frames, thereby opening and closing the wheelchair frame.

摘要： A seat assembly can be mounted on various wheelchair bases. The seat assembly enables the seat width and backrest width to be adjusted independently of each other. A backrest has a plurality of open slots, the number and orientation of which contributes to depth, width, and height adjustment of the backrest as well as angular adjustment of lateral supports to permit the backrest to conform to the anatomical curves of a user. A backrest foam assembly comprises multiple foam sections that are adapted to be positioned relative to each other and thereby vary the overall width of the assembly. A cover comprises multiple sections, each covering a foam section. A multi-position adjustable armrest assembly combines large-scale and small-scale adjustments, which provides a broad range of adjustment for the armrest and its position. A power recline mechanism with programmable shear reduction includes a dual rotary recline mechanism.

A biasing member is connected to at least one of the frame members. 摘要： A wheelchair includes a frame, and a front pivot arm pivotally mounted to the frame at a front pivot point, the front pivot arm having a caster for supporting the frame. A rear pivot arm is pivotally mounted to the frame at a rear pivot point, the rear pivot arm having a caster for supporting the frame. A ground engaging mid- wheel drive wheel is connected to the frame. A linkage connects the front and rear pivot arms to each other in a manner such that an upward or downward rotation of one of the pivot arms about its pivot point causes rotation of the other pivot arm about its pivot point in an opposite rotational direction.
