摘要： The present invention concerns the use of compositions comprising, and methods for making, genetically modified mesenchymal stem cells to treat subjects with hyperproliferative disorders. Certain embodiments allow local delivery of an agent while avoiding systemic delivery of the agent alone. Stromat precursor cells may be used to produce a biological agent locally at tumor sites. The tumor microenvironment, or other proliferation inducing microenvironment, preferentially promotes the engraftment of stromal precursors as compared to other tissues.
