摘要： A cable connection assembly (100) comprises an adaptor body, a terminated electrical cable end (16e) received within the adaptor body wherein the electrical cable end (16e) is terminated by a connector (24), a radio frequency (RF) sensor tag (30) secured to the connector (24), and an RF reader (40) externally mounted on the adaptor body. The RF sensor tag (30) comprises a temperature sensor and an antenna. The RF reader (40) is configured to transmit an interrogation signal to the RF sensor tag (30) that provides power to the RF sensor tag (30) and causes the temperature sensor to detect a temperature of the connector (24) and generate a temperature data signal, and that causes the antenna to transmit the temperature data signal. The RF reader (40) is configured to receive the transmitted temperature data signal.
