摘要： Monitoring the performance of communication systems is an important part of network operations.
In one aspect the invention provides a method for monitoring the performance by collecting data pertaining to a mobile terminal accessing the system. In some embodiments, the method includes receiving an identifier for identifying the mobile terminal; using the identifier to detect the UE accessing the network via an access point; and in response to detecting the UE accessing the network, transmitting to the access point a message comprising an encrypted version of the identifier with a command to initiate the collection of data pertaining to the mobile terminal.
