摘要： A method for producing broad specificity, generic, antibodies having a specific binding affinity for two or more of a class of compounds demonstrating a common mode of biological activity (e.g. organophosphate pesticides) comprising selecting a receptor or enzyme through which the class of compounds exert the biological activity, raising intermediate monoclonal antibodies against the recognition site of the receptor or enzyme, inoculating an animal with these iMABs or fragments thereof and recovering the generic antibodies from a body fluid or tissues of the animal. Also disclosed are generic polysera, generic antibodies, and cell lines for producing them, and also methods and kits for screening a sample for the presence or absence of compounds demonstrating a common mode of activity using generic antibodies.
