The invention provides a personal cleansing freezer bar comprising a skeleton structure having a relatively rigid, interlocking, semi-continuous, open, three-dimensional, crystalline mesh of neutralized carboxylic acid soap selected from the group consisting of sodium soap; wherein said bar is made by the following steps: (1) mixing a molten mixture comprising by weight of said bar: from about 15 % to about 85 % of said soap and from about 15 % to about 40 % water; (2) cooling said mixture to a semi-solid in a scraped wall heat exchanger freezer; (3) extruding said semi-solid as a soft plug; and (4) further cooling said soft plug to provide said personal cleansing bar.

The liquid of the present invention can provide good cleansing, lather and good sensory feel and yet surprisingly provide a lipid moisturizing benefit via deposition of the lipid on the skin of the user. The liquid composition is stable and on a macro scale is homogeneous. The dual cleansing and lipid moisturizing liquid composition of this invention comprises: (1) about 5 parts to about 30 parts of a lipid skin moisturizing agent; (2) about 1 to about 15 parts of an ethylene glycol fatty acid ester; (3) from about 0.05 parts to about 3 parts of a selected water dispersible gel forming polymer; (4) from about 5 parts to about 30 parts of a lathering synthetic surfactant; and (5) water, and wherein said synthetic surfactant and any soap has a combined CMC equilibrium surface tension value of from 15 to 50, and wherein said lathering skin cleansing liquid composition has a Lipid Deposition Value (LDV) of from about 5 to about 1000 νg of lipid per sq. cm of skin.

The invention provides a firm, ultra mild, neutral pH freezer bar comprising: from about 10 % to about 50 % of monocarboxylic acid; wherein from about 20 % to about 65 % by weight of said monocarboxylic acid is neutralized; from about 20 % to about 65 % of an anionic and/or nonionic bar firmness aid, and from about 15 % to about 40 % water by weight of said bar; wherein said neutral pH is from about 6.3 to about 8.0; wherein the neutral pH freezer bar is made by the following steps: I) mixing a molten (170-205° F; 76-96°C) mixture comprising said carboxylic acid; water; and bar firmness aid; neutralizing said 20 % to about 65 % of said carboxylic acid, preferably with sodium hydroxide; III) cooling said mixture to a semi-solid in a scraped wall heat exchanger freezer; II) extruding said semi-solid as a soft plug; and further cooling and crystallizing said soft plug until firm to provide said neutral pH personal cleansing freezer bar.

On décrit une savonnette comprenant une structure possédant un maillage cristallin à entrecroisement relativement rigide, semi-continu, ouvert, tridimensionnel de savon à l'acide carboxylique neutralisé choisi dans le groupe des savons au sodium. Le procédé de fabrication de ladite savonnette consiste (1) à mélanger une substance fondue comprenant en pourcentage de poids de ladite savonnette: d'environ 15 % à environ 85 % dudit savon et d'environ 15% à environ 40 % d'eau; (2) à refroidir ledit mélange en un semi-solide dans un échangeur congélateur à couche mince (3) à extruder ledit semi-solide sous forme d'un bouchon noir et (4) à refroidir davantage ledit bouchon mou de façon à obtenir ladite savonnette.
