    摘要： An apparatus including a receptacle (12) and a handle (514, 714, 914, 1014) coupled to the receptacle (12) is disclosed. The handle (514, 714, 914, 1014) has a bifurcated head portion (524) coupled to the receptacle (12). A grip portion (526) is coupled to the head portion (524). The grip portion (526) includes a first girder (540) extending in a direction away from the receptacle (12) and a second girder (540) extending in a direction away from the receptacle (12) and spaced apart from the first girder (540). The head portion (524) includes a first beam (28) extending from the grip portion (526) and coupled to the receptacle (12) and a second beam (28) extending from the grip portion (526) and is coupled to the receptacle (12). The apparatus further includes the first beam (28) and the second beam (28) diverging as they extend from the grip portion (526) towards the receptacle (12) so that the first beam (28) and the second beam (28) are separated by an opening. A lower portion of the first girder (540) includes an in-turned edge (541, 741). A lower portion of the second girder (540) includes an in-turned edge (541, 741). The grip portion (526) comprises an underlying cavity that extends along an underside of the grip portion (526) and is defined by the in-turned edges (541, 741) and girders (540).

    摘要： A handle (14) is disclosed. The handle is for use with a utensil or tool (10) such as a pan or other cookware. The handle comprises a core (10) and may comprise a grip (20). The core comprises a base mounting portion (24) coupled to the base (10) and a grip mounting portion (26) including a first member and a second member spaced apart from the first member. Each of the first and second members (40) include a vertical dimension greater than its horizontal dimensions. Bridge portions (242) may extend between the first and second spaced apart members. The grip (20) at least partially surrounds the grip mounting portion (26) and may be overmolded to the core or slid on as a sleeve.
