    摘要: A method for transmitting information from a radio base station node to a first mobile station and a second mobile station is disclosed herein. The first and second mobile stations are paired on and share a same carrier frequency, TDMA frame, and time slot in a wireless communication system. Further, the first and second mobile stations are allocated on a first and second VAMOS sub-channel, respectively. The method includes transmitting a GMSK modulated SACCH burst of a SACCH block in a predetermined time slot and TDMA frame on one of the first and second VAMOS sub-channel. The method further includes simultaneously muting the other of the first and second VAMOS sub-channels in the predetermined time slot and TDMA frame.

    摘要: While Incremental Redundancy (IR) combining offers performance improvements as compared to Chase combining, those improvements come at the expense of increased complexity. Among the several advantages of the teachings disclosed herein are techniques for further improving the performance of IR combining and retransmission processing in general, at minimal increased complexity. One aspect of these improvements involves the use of prior decoding results, rather than or in addition to prior demodulation results, in retransmission processing. That is, the teachings herein propose using the hard bit decisions obtained from decoding previously transmitted data blocks to improve the decoding of retransmitted data blocks.
