The present invention relates to a telephone system, an exchange in such a telephone system and a method of setting up a telephone call between a computer and such an exchange. The computer comprises a function for use as a telephone. The server receives a service request from the computer and sends a demand for a computer network address to the exchange. A first network connection device in the exchange receives the demand, selects a first network address and returns said address to the server. The server forwards said address to the computer. A second network connection device sets up a connection with the computer using the first address and an address of the computer. In this way the speech signals can be exchanged in a telephone connection between a user of the computer and an extension connected to the exchange.

There is provided mitigation of disconnect events in a vectoring based digital subscriber line, DSL, system. A method performed by a digital subscriber line access multiplexer,DSLAM, comprises detecting a loss of signal or disconnect event of a line in a vectored group of DSL lines,the loss of signal or disconnect event causing a negative impact on the DSL system. The method further comprises detecting a change in at least one downstream, DS, crosstalk coefficient of at least one line in said vectored group of DSL lines. The method further comprises determining a magnitude of said change. The method further comprises determining where the loss of signal or disconnect event has occurred by processing precoding coefficients of the vectored group of DSL lines. The method further comprises determining,on basis of the determined magnitude and where the loss of signal or disconnect event has occurred, an action to be performed by the DSLAM so as to mitigate for said negative impact.

A mobile telephone is easy to carry around but has a small keypad and a small display. A normal deskphone has a big keypad and display has a convenient handset, but is stationary. A stationary telephony terminal (S1) is described which is connected to a mobile telephony network (MTN1) via a mobile telephone (M1). The mobile (M1) and the stationary terminal ((S1) have each a bluetooth radio transceiver (BT1, BT2) and are interconnected via a bluetooth link (SWL1). The stationary terminal (S1) lacks identity in the mobile network (MTN1). A subscriber (P1), owning the mobile (M1), can call on the stationary terminal (S1) and can move to another network (MTN2) having another stationary terminal (S3), on which he can make a call. Another subscriber (P3) with a mobile can call on the terminal (S1). To prevent misuse the subscribers (P1, P3) take an authentication code for his respective mobile (M1, M3) on the stationary terminal (S1), and the authentication can be made valid for a predetermined period by taking a service code.

The present invention relates to a device and a method for a telecommunication system comprising an exchange (1), which comprises a network connection device (6), which provides a user (A) with the possibility to connect a computer (12) to a data network (3), as well as a telephony server (7), which provides said user with the possibility to, during an ongoing data network session, use the service telephony on the same subscriber line (14), which is being used for the data network connection. The invention makes the handling of user information in the exchange (1) more efficient, by providing the network connection device and the telephony server with user information, which is entered in one single user data base (10). The data base is used for operation and maintenance personnel entering static user information and for entering session related user information, which is obtained during one single access control at connection to the data network (3). The information in the data base is accessible to both the network connection device and the telephony server, which makes a second access control, when activating the service telephony during an ongoing data network session unnecessary. The present invention decreases the amount of duplicated user information in the exchange and makes handling of user information in the exchange easier.
