The method is executed in a network node of a mobile communication system and comprises the steps of: receiving a sequence of symbols using a radio receiver; identifying at least one corrupted symbol by identifying a corruption of at least the first received symbol of the plurality of symbols; obtaining a working set of symbols, by omitting the at least one corrupted symbol from the sequence of symbols; and de-spreading the working set of symbols using a subset of a first de-spreading code, wherein the subset of the first de-spreading code comprises code elements corresponding to the working set of symbols, to thereby provide a first decoded signal. The present invention discloses a network node (100) for multi-user scheduling involving retransmission. The network node comprises a receiver (110) adapted to receive channel quality indicator (CQI) report from a user equipment (UE),an adjuster (120) adapted to adjust signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR) derived from the CQI report to obtain SINR for retransmission, a combiner (130) adapted to combine SINR for initial transmission and SINR for one or a plurality of retransmission to obtain effective SINR, and a scheduler (140) adapted to perform multi-user scheduling on the basis of priority metric derived from the effective SINR. The present invention improves multi-user scheduling by taking HARQ combining gain into account. Instantaneous throughput as well as priority metric can be accurately measured, because SINR from not only channel quality (e.g.CQI) but also HARQ processing gain are both included.

A method in a receiving node for sending an acknowledgement/not acknowledgement 'ACK/NACK' feedback report of received data units over a radio link is provided. When the receiving node have received (301 ) data units in a number of subframes over a first radio link from a sending node, it creates (302) an ACK/NACK feedback report. The report is compressed such that it comprises one single ACK/NACK feedback relating to the data units in the number of received subframes, and the report comprises an indicator indicating said number of received subframes. The receiving node then transmits (303) the created ACK/NACK feedback report to the sending node over a second radio link. The feedback report renders it feasible for the sending node to decide whether a retransmission of any subframe is required or not based on a comparison of the reported number of received subframes with the known transmitted number of subframes per frame, together with the compressed ACK/NACK feedback report.

A method, transmitter node, and receiver node for communicating a transport block of information bits from the transmitter node to the receiver node. The transmitter node encodes the information bits and divides the coded bits into antenna selection bits and modulation bits. The antenna selection bits are used to select a transmit antenna from a plurality of transmit antennas. The modulation bits are used by a modulator to select modulation symbols for transmission utilizing the selected antenna. The receiver node receives the radio signal with a front-end receiver and computes a plurality of combined signals, each corresponding to one hypothesized transmit antenna at the transmitter node. The receiver forwards the plurality of combined signals to a soft value computer, which computes soft values for the antenna selection and modulation bits. The soft values are combined and decoded to produce decision bits for recovering the transport block.

A method for sending a data packet from a base station to a mobile terminal includes signalling to the mobile terminal in a first subframe of a radio channel a first downlink assignment of a first data packet of a bundling window. The bundling window represents a number of data packets, already transmitted or to be transmitted to the mobile terminal, that are to be confirmed by the mobile terminal. The downlink assignment represents information about a minimum total number of data packets within the bundling window that are scheduled to be transmitted to the mobile terminal. The method also includes transmitting data packets from a base station in subframes of the radio channel using the bundling window.
