The hose may have one or more helical wires embedded in the hose such as between the two reinforcing layers. The hose successfully passes fire resistance testing when tested according to BS ISO 15540:1999 incorporating amendment number 1.

A pressure-relieving safety assembly, comprising a sleeve (108) and collar (104), protects against human injury and loss of life by blocking flow of fluid from a ruptured high pressure conduit (114) and provides pressure relief for escaping fluid. This pressure-relieving assembly includes a sleeve (108) that encircles the high-pressure line and is secured to, at one or both ends of the line, a coupling. The sleeve is secured to the coupling (s) by a collar (104) having raised portions that provides a path for fluid that has escaped from the conduit at a burst or pin-hole failure location, to flow towards the ends of the conduit, indicating to the user that a conduit failure has occurred. The sleeve lowers the fluid velocity while the path provided by the collar prevents the fluid pressure from building up behind the sleeve.
