摘要： A process and catalyst for use in the selective hydrogenation of acetylene to ethylene is presented. The catalyst comprises a layered structure, wherein the catalyst has an inner core and an outer layer of active material. The catalyst further includes a metal deposited on the outer layer, and the catalyst is formed such that the catalyst has an accessibility index between 3 and 500.

摘要： A process is disclosed using a new catalyst for use in the alkylation of benzene with a substantially linear olefin. The catalyst allows for cation exchange with a rare earth element to increase the alkylation of benzene, while reducing the amount of isomerization of the alkyl group. This is important for increasing the quality of the alkylbenzene by increasing the linearity of the alkylbenzene.
