A filament lamp for emission of yellow light, which has a colour film which can be easily produced with high transparency and high thermal resistance, and in which the expected yellow light can be emitted without a material being used which contains heavy metals which exert adverse effects on the environment, such as cadmium, lead and the like, and a method of producing such a lamp is achieved by providing a filament lamp having a glass bulb (10), a filament (15) which is located in the bulb (10) with a colour film (20) on the outer surface and/or the inner surface of the bulb (10) which is form of a combined oxide of titanium, nickel and antimony. In particular, the colour film (20) is formed on the bulb (10) by dipping of the bulb (10) in the coating liquid, then drying and sintering the coating liquid. Advantageously, the coating liquid is formed by admixing a solution A produced by dissolving a nickel salt and an antimony salt in an organic solvent, addition of a titanium alkoxide and reaction of the reaction mixture; and addition of a stabilizer which is capable of forming a chelate with titanium with a solution B produced in the same manner as solution A, but with water added before the addition of the titanium alkoxide.
