摘要: A mechanical link (100), the mechanical link (100) comprising a first arm (120), a second arm (140) and an interconnection member (160), wherein: the first arm (120) is rotatable about a first axis of the interconnection member (160); the second arm (140) is rotatable about a second axis of the interconnection member (160), the second axis being orthogonal to the first axis; and wherein: the flexible member (400) extends along the first and second arms (120, 140) and is adapted to accommodate rotation of the arms (120, 140) about the first and second axes, the flexible member (400) having a single coiled portion (440) which is received within the interconnection member (160) such that the coiled portion (440) can coil and uncoil to accommodate rotation of the first arm (120), wherein the coiled portion (440) is further configured to twist about an axis of the flexible member (400) to accommodate rotation of the second arm (140).

摘要: The present invention provides a mechanical link (100) and a carrier (220) for supporting a conductor (240) within a mechanical link. The mechanical link (100) comprises: a first arm (120) and a second arm (140), the second arm (140) being arranged for movement with respect to the first arm (120); and a flexible helical carrier (220) for supporting a conductor (240), wherein the flexible helical carrier (220) is received within the first and second arms. The carrier (220) comprises a generally helical member of a flexible material, the generally helical member comprising a continuous support portion having on both sides thereof upstanding wall portions.
