Abstract:
The present invention provides a granule that releases antioxidants rapidly and a method of preparing an antioxidant granule comprising the steps of : (i) melting a non-ionic surfactant the nonionic surfactant having a starting melting point of 40 °C or above as measured by differential scanning calorimetry; (ii) dissolving an antioxidant in the melted non-ionic surfactant with mixing to form a antioxidant/non- ionic solution; (iii) cooling the antioxidant/non-ionic solution to form a solid whilst forming a particulate matter.
Abstract:
Particulate detergent, bleaching or cleaning compositions containing moisture-sensitive ingredients, for example bleach ingredients, and also containing crystalline aluminosilicate (zeolite), show significantly enhanced stability of moisture-sensitive ingredients, especially sodium percarbonate or certain bleach catalysts, if the exchangeable cations of the crystalline aluminosilicate include cations of a weak monoacidic base, for example, ammonium, lithium or hydrogen ions.
Abstract:
There is provided a detergent composition, especially a laundry detergent composition, comprising a particle for triggered release of a rinse benefit agent, said particle comprising: a) a rinse benefit agent, b) an enzyme, and c) a substrate for said enzyme, wherein the rinse benefit agent and the enzyme are surrounded by a barrier layer comprising the substrate. The use of the enzyme-triggered release system can retain a rinse benefit agent during the wash stage and release it during the subsequent rinse stage.
Abstract:
A bleaching particulate detergent composition comprises one or more detergent-active compounds, one or more detergency builders including a specific alkali metal aluminosilicate, maximum aluminium zeolite P (zeolite MAP), and a bleach system comprising an organic peroxyacid. Use of zeolite MAP in place of conventional zeolite 4A improves significantly the storage stability of the organic peroxyacid, especially in compositions of high bulk density (700 g/l and above).
