摘要： A package for retaining a needle-suture combination includes a cover, and a base which is connected to the cover by snap lock engagement so as to define an enclosure volume. The base has first and second V-shaped ridges, each V-shaped ridge having a vertex portion, the vertex portion of the first V-shaped ridge being in opposing relation to the vortex portion of the second V-shaped ridge so as to define a constricted space therebetween. The V-shaped ridges serve as guides for maintaining a major portion of the suture in a coiled configuration with generally figure 8 shaped loops.

摘要： A dispenser box (10) for suture packages (50) includes an outer casing (100) and drawer portion (200) slidably disposed within the outer casing. The dispenser preferably includes at least two access portals for withdrawal of the suture packages. A first access portal (14) allows the suture packages to be withdrawn in accordance with the U.S. preferred mode, wherein the dispenser box disposed so that the suture packages are stacked in a vertical array and withdrawn horizontally. A second access portal (15) allows the suture packages to be withdrawn in accordance with the European preferred mode, wherein the suture packages are stacked in a horizontal array and are withdrawn vertically.
