摘要:
A bulkhead panel 28 for use in a combustion chamber of a gas turbine engine comprises a first side 34 and a second side 32, a plurality of panel holes 60,62 extending from the first side 34 to the second side 32 through which cooling air flows, and a circumferential inner rail 54 on said first side 34 dividing said first side 34 into a first cavity region 56 having a plurality of the panel holes 60 and a second cavity region 58 having a plurality of the panel holes 62. Each of the panel holes 60,62 has an exit nozzle which is angled so as to create a swirling flow of cooling air over the second side 32 of the panel 28.

A combustor liner cap assembly (130) is provided for use in a multiple fuel nozzle combustor of a gas turbine. The combustor liner cap assembly includes a tube plate (34) having a plurality of fuel nozzle openings (35) and a plurality of open ended premix tubes (30) extending aft from the tube plate (34). Each premix tube (30) has a forward end having a forward edge, the forward end being received in a corresponding one of the fuel nozzle openings. The forward end of each premix tube extends at least to a forward face of the tube plate. Each premix tube may be fixed to the tube plate aft of the forward edge of the forward end of the premix tube, for example, metallurgically bonded, such as by welding or brazing.

The present invention relates to heat shield panels (20') or liners to be used in combustors for gas turbine engines. The heat shield panels (20') each comprise a hot side and a cold side and at least one isolated cooling chamber (70') on the cold side. Each cooling chamber has a plurality of cooling film holes (32) for allowing a coolant, such as air, to flow from the cold side to the hot side. A rear boundary wall of chamber (70') is formed by arrays (106,112) of pins.

A combustor comprises an outer support shell and an inner support shell which together form a combustion chamber. Arrays of forward (18,22) and rear (20,24) heat shield panels are attached to the shells. The forward panels (18,22) have dilution holes (34) and the rearward panels (20,24) have rails (64) which are circumferentially offset to radially opposed ones of the dilution holes (34).
