摘要: In some embodiments, a cathode assembly may include a cathode head 802 that has a first electron emitter 803 and a second electron emitter 812. The first electron emitter may have a first connection location 808 and a second connection location 810. The second electron emitter may have a third connection location 814 and a fourth connection location 816. The third connection location may be electrically coupled with the second connection location of the first electron emitter. The cathode assembly may include a receptacle having a first connector 818 and a second connector 820. The first connector may be electrically coupled with the first connection location of the first electron emitter. The second connector may be electrically coupled with the second connection location of the first electron emitter and the third connection location of the second electron emitter. A third connector 822 may be electrically coupled with the fourth connection location of the second electron emitter.

摘要: In some example embodiments, a cathode for an X-ray tube may include a first electron emitter 304 and a second electron emitter 306 spaced apart from the first electron emitter. The cathode may include a cathode body 302 defining a first recess 314 and a second recess 316. The first recess may have the first electron emitter positioned at least partially therein and the second recess may have the second electron emitter positioned at least partially therein. The second electron emitter may extend further out of the second recess than the first electron emitter extends out of the first recess. The first electron emitter and the second electron emitter may be configured to simultaneously direct electrons to a target on an anode.
