Due to these features, the indicator hand can be driven in a conventional manner in order to indicate the hour, for instance, using graduations on a dial, while the rotation of the second index portion can be used for displaying additional information that may be independent from the time. The overall dimensions of this structure are reduced and make the display area of the timepiece visually clearer, while allowing the simultaneous display of several clock complications.
