摘要:
A transducer capable of generating vibrational energy is positioned relative to an inkjet cartridge to impart a vibrational force to simultaneously vibrate at least a portion of each of a plurality of ink fluidic columns associated with a plurality of nozzles in a printhead of the inkjet cartridge to maintain or recover nozzle function.
摘要:
Disclosed are opaque ink jet ink compositions and method of printing that produce messages having a good contrast on darkly colored substrates, particularly darkly colored glass substrates, and that do not smear or degrade when exposed to moisture and/or hot and cold humid conditions, or when exposed to ice water or water under sterilizing conditions. The ink jet ink compositions comprise one or more organic solvents, one or more white pigments, one or more hydrophobic conductive agents, and one or more binder resins. In an embodiment of the ink jet ink composition, at least one binder resin comprises an acrylic or styrene acrylic resin. In another embodiment, the ink jet ink composition is free of polyamines. The ink jet ink composition may also include a glass adhesion promoter.
摘要:
Disclosed is an ink composition which is suitable for ink jet printing and comprising an organic solvent, for example, methanol, a water-soluble resin, a water-soluble dye, and optionally a surfactant, wherein, if water is present, it is present in an amount less than 50% by weight of the ink composition. The ink composition is suitable for printing messages on substrates such as diaper outer liner fabrics. The printed messages are removed upon contact with water or urine or other aqueous body fluid, thereby providing an indication of diaper wetness.
摘要:
Disclosed is an ink composition suitable for ink jet printing comprising a luminescent compound, a solvent, and an energy active compound, and optionally a non-luminescent colorant. The energy active compound, when exposed to energy, generates one or more active species that can react with the luminescent compound to alter one or more of the characteristics of the luminescent compound. The luminescent compound can be colored or colorless. Also disclosed is a method for marking substrates comprising providing a mark comprising a luminescent compound and an energy active compound. Further disclosed is a jet ink composition suitable for printing on substrates authentication or security marks which can be rendered unreadable. The luminescence of the mark is quenched and the visible color is changed when irradiated with a light.

An ink containment system for an inkjet cartridge, for storing ink for printing, comprises a rigid basin member and a rigid moveable plate. A flexible membrane is affixed to a surface of the basin member and to a surface of the plate forming an ink reservoir within the basin member, plate and flexible membrane. A spring-bi ased mechanism is disposed between the basin member and plate, for biasing the plate apart from the basin member, generating a negative pressure within the ink reservoir and the basin member remaining stationary relative to the movement of the plate. The basin member has a bowl-like configuration and the spring is seated within the reservoir in such a way that when the ink reservoir has collapsed due to depletion of ink, the flexible membrane and moveable plate are substantially flush with surfaces of the basin member.
