    摘要： Disclosed is a twin roll casting plant comprising two casting rolls (1, 2) which rotate in opposite directions about horizontal shafts, a casting gap for forming and discharging a thin cast metal strip, a sealed enclosure (13) that is provided with a bottom and delimits the path of conveyance of the metal strip leaving the casting gap from a vertical casting direction into a nearly horizontal conveying direction, devices (11) for deflecting the metal strip within said enclosure, and a movable receptacle (25) for conveying scraps and scales away from the twin roll casting plant. In order to minimize infiltration of secondary air into the enclosure that is flooded with a protective gas, the bottom (16) of the enclosure (13) forms a collecting trough (18) for the scraps in at least one partial area thereof, said collecting trough (18) being part of a discharging apparatus (17), while a movable scrap receptacle (25) is placed in a receiving position below the discharging apparatus.
