摘要： The invention relates to a coating for finishing paper or cardboard, comprising pigments in an aqueous dispersion, a binding agent in a proportion of at least 7 % by weight, preferably between 9 and 15 % by weight, (in relation to the proportion of pigment), a thickening agent in a proportion of between 0.05 and 0.5 % by weight, preferably between 0.2 and 0.4 % by weight (in relation to the proportion of pigment) and a surfactant in a proportion of at least 0.1 % by weight (in relation to the proportion of pigment), preferably between 0.2 and 1 % by weight, whereby the solid content lies between 50 and 70 % by weight, preferably between 55 and 65 % by weight and the viscosity is a maximum 1000 mPas, preferably less than 500 mPas (Brookfield 100 UPM, 20 DEG C). The coating is applied to a continuous paper or cardboard web in a free-falling curtain, an aqueous pigment dispersion being first produced and subjected to degasification. After degasification, the thickening agent and a surfactant are mixed with the pigment dispersion as additives with the exclusion of air.
