摘要： The present invention relates to speckled, coated chewing gums, particularly those comprising an oral care active. Many oral care actives do not provide an immediately noticeable benefit and a speckle on the outer coating can provide a signal to the user of a therapeutic effect. Preferred speckling is achieved by the use of a coloured flake applied in the final stages of the coating process. A method for applying the speckled coating is also disclosed. A second aspect of this invention relates to a coated chewing gum comprising incompatible actives one active, such as a hydrolysable polyphosphate salt, is provided within the chewing gum core and a further active, incompatible with the first, such as a fluoride ion source, is provided in the coating.
