    摘要: A pneumatic radial tire comprises at least one carcass layer (4) having reinforcing cords arranged therein and having both end portions (4A) turned up around right and left bead cores (5) from inside the tire to outside, and at least two belt layers (6) provided on the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer of the tread and having reinforcing cords arranged therein such that the directions of inclination of the reinforcing cords relative to the circumferential direction of the tire are opposite to each other and crossed. The carcass strength factor K defined by the formula (1): K (N/mm.kPa) = [number of reinforcing cords arranged (number/mm)] x [strength of reinforcing cords (N)] x [number of carcass layers] DIVIDED [maximum air pressure (kPa)] is 0.15 to 0.35 N/mm.kPa in the area including the center of the tread from the positions (P) which are spaced 10 % of the width of the belt layer (6B) inward from both edges (6b) of the belt layer (6B) of which width is the second largest among the belt layers, and 0.5 N/mm.kPa or more in the areas extending to the beads from the positions P.
