摘要: According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a high-speed transmission device (1) is provided. The device (1) includes a substrate (20): a control device (ASIC10) on the substrate (20); a first connector (30); a second connector (80); and a cable assembly (40) between the first connector (30) and the second connector (80). The first connector (30) is disposed at a position near the control device (ASIC10) on the substrate (20) and electrically connected to the control device (ASIC10) via the substrate (20). The second connector (80) is disposed at a position away from the control device (ASIC10) on the substrate (20) and equipped with an apparatus (90) for transmitting / receiving a signal to and from the control device(ASIC10). The cable assembly (40) includes a cable row (42), a paddle card substrate (41) and a first conductive resin cover (43). Cables (2) each transmitting a differential signal are arranged side by side in the cable row (42). The cables (2) each includes an internal conductor (21) and an external conductor (23). The paddle card substrate (41) is provided with first electrodes for signal (4) and first electrodes for ground (5). Front end portions of the internal conductors (23) of the cables (2) are electrically connected to the first electrodes for signal (4), and front end portions of the external conductors (23) of the cables (2) are electrically connected to the first electrodes for ground (5). The first conductive resin cover (43) covers the paddle card substrate (41), internal conductors (21) of the cables (2), and connection portions of the external conductors (23) of the cables (2). The first conductive resin cover (43) is not electrically connected to the first electrodes for signal (4), but is electrically connected to the first electrodes for ground (5).

摘要: A locator of a connector is attached to a shell so that it is moveable from a first position to a second position. The shell is made of metal, and each of side wall portions thereof is provided with a first aperture and a second aperture. The locator is provided with protruding portions. When the locator is positioned at the first position, each of the protruding portions is in the first aperture. When the locator is positioned at the second position, the protruding portion is in the second aperture. The shell is made of metal, so that it has predetermined strength even if the first aperture and the second aperture are provided therein. Since the first aperture and the second aperture pierce the side wall portion in a width direction, the protruding portions of the locator are visible. Thus, a position of the locator can be grasped.

摘要: A connector comprises a locator configured to position a cable. The locator has a front-end surface, a first surface and a second surface and is formed with a positioning groove. The first surface and the second surface are located at opposite sides of the locator, respectively, in the upper-lower direction (Z-direction). The positioning groove has a front groove, a rear groove and a coupling groove. The front groove is recessed rearward from the front-end surface and extends from the first surface to the coupling groove along the upper-lower direction. The rear groove is recessed from the second surface along the upper-lower direction and extends rearward from the coupling groove. When the locator positions the cable, the front groove receives a front regulated portion of the cable, and the rear groove receives a rear regulated portion of the cable.

摘要: In a first contact of a connector, an insulation-displacement connection portion has two insulation-displacement blades and has a narrow slit and a wide slit. The insulation-displacement blades are different from each other in position in a first direction and correspond to the narrow slit. The insulation-displacement blades are obliquely intersected with the first direction. The narrow slit and the wide slit extend in the front-rear direction. In the first direction, the insulation-displacement blade is located between the narrow slit 362 and the wide slit 364. In a second direction, a middle of the wide slit 364 is different from a middle of the narrow slit 362 in position. When covered wire is pushed into the narrow slit, it is pressed on the insulation-displacement blades at different timings in order.
