    摘要: The present invention relates to aerosol dispensers and more particularly to automatic aerosol dispensers. In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a portable automatic aerosol dispenser device (10) for intermittently releasing a dose of an aerosol from an aerosol can (14) to an environment. The portable automatic aerosol dispenser device (10) comprises a housing (20), which comprises an aerosol release mechanism adapted to release the dose of aerosol from the can (14) to the environment, an outlet (26) connected to the aerosol release mechanism for releasing the dose of aerosol through the housing (20), an inlet (30) connected to the aerosol release mechanism for receiving a stem (18) of the can (14), an actuating mechanism adapted to actuate the aerosol release mechanism intermittently, the actuating mechanism comprising a switch mechanism for switching the aerosol release mechanism from an inoperative position to an operative position for an interval of time and a timing mechanism for controlling the interval of time, and a gripping mechanism (12) adapted to grip a rim of the can, for releasably gripping the housing (20) to the rim (16). The automatic aerosol dispenser device (10) may be used with an aerosol can (14) of any size.

    摘要: A delivery system (10) for dispensing an active substance in spray form comprises a head unit (10) including a valve (22) in communication with a dispensing nozzle (20), a first reservoir (14) containing a fluid propellant, and at least a second reservoir (16) containing the active substance. The first reservoir is engaged to the head unit in fluid flow communication with the valve, and the second reservoir is engaged to the head unit independently from the first reservoir and is in fluid flow communication with the dispensing nozzle. An actuation means (28) is operable to selectively open and close the valve. The valve, when open, permits at least the fluid propellant to flow out through the dispensing nozzle. The flow of fluid propellant entrains the active substance from the second reservoir into the fluid propellant for sprayed dispensing of the active substance from the delivery system.

    摘要: An aerosol delivery system (10) dispenses an active substance using a propellant fluid. The delivery system comprises a sealed pressurizeable container (12) having a dispensing nozzle (20). The propellant fluid is retained within the container (12) and releasable therefrom in a gaseous phase via the dispensing nozzle (20) when a release valve (22) is actuated. The dispensing nozzle (20) has a throat portion (40) creating a venturi effect when the gaseous phase of the propellant fluid passes therethrough. A fluid containing reservoir (24) is disposed within the container (12) in fluid flow communication with the dispensing nozzle (20). The active substance is contained within the reservoir (24) in isolation from the propellant fluid within the container. The venturi effect entrains the active substance through the dispensing nozzle (20) for ejection therefrom when the release valve (22) is actuated. A second reservoir (30) may also be disposed within the container (12) and provides a source of the gaseous propellant.
