摘要： An electrostatic spray nozzle including: a paint nozzle having a labial paint spout hole for spurting a paint under predetermined liquid pressure; an air nozzle having an air blow hole forwardly of the paint spout hole for blowing air streams toward the spurted paint to accelerate atomization of the paint; and a needle electrode located forward of the air spout hole and applied with a high voltage to charge the atomized particles of the paint to a predetermined potential. Atomization of the paint which is spurted from the paint spout hole is accelerated by pressurized air streams from the air spout hole, while preventing the tailing phenomenom. The atomized paint particles are charged by passage through an ionizing zone which is formed around the needle electrode, thereby promoting the efficiency of paint deposition and at the same time the efficiency of paint atomization by the electrostatic atomizing action.

摘要： Method and apparatus for continuously producing emulsions with particles of a disperse phase liquid in a continuous phase liquid by employing an emulsifying vessel (1) which is provided with an interior gravity flow surface (2) and a feeder (7) for supplying the continuous phase liquid to the flow surface for forming thereon a stream of the continuous phase liquid. Disposed within the emulsifying vessel is a rotary atomizing head (12) which is connected to a disperse phase liquid source (14) and rotational drive means (17) and maintained at a high voltage to stratify and form a spray of atomized particles of the disperse phase liquid directed towards the flow surface under the influence of centrifugal force and electrostatic action. The disperse phase particles from the rotary atomizing head are entrained and dispersed in the stream of the continuous phase liquid on the flow surface of the emulsifying vessel to form an emulsion.
