The device has an inflatable element intended to protect at least partially an area of the torso of the user, which includes a first protective portion intended to protect at least a first lateral area of the torso between a right lower rear back area, or right lower-back, and a right chest area, passing on a right side below a right armpit area, and a second protective portion intended to protect at least the other lateral area of the torso of the user between a left lower rear back area, or left lower-back, and a left chest area passing on a left side below a left armpit area. The right lower rear back area and the left lower rear back area are provided with respective openings for introducing the inflation gas. The personal protection device includes one or more pressurised-gas generators. The pressurised-gas generator is adapted to introduce gas into the right lower rear back area and into the left lower rear back area.

In one implementation, a front carrier has an inner surface and an outer surface forming an interior. A front carrier pocket is disposed on the outer surface of the front carrier, and the front carrier pocket is adapted to receive a ballistic hard plate. A soft ballistic armor is disposed in the interior of the front carrier. The soft ballistic armor has an armor female shape defined by a set of lateral portions connecting an upper portion and a lower portion. A lateral dart is disposed in each of the lateral portions. The lateral darts are each adapted to displace the ballistic hard plate in a direction away from the inner surface of the front carrier.

    摘要： A chamber for receiving a pressurized fluid may include a tensile member extending between a first chamber barrier layer and a second chamber barrier layer and including a plurality of tethers extending between the first tensile member layer and the second tensile member layer. The chamber may include stitching through the tensile member in a stitched region. When the chamber is pressurized with the pressurized fluid, a substantial majority of the first tensile member layer is separated from the second tensile member layer by a distance that corresponds to a length of the plurality of tethers. In addition, the first tensile member layer is held in contact with the second tensile member layer by the stitching in the stitched region, thereby forming an area of the chamber having a reduced thickness relative to adjacent portions of the chamber.
