摘要： A bidet (200) with a single sitz bath cylinder (210) comprising a nozzle assembly is provided. 摘要： Sitting bathtub constituted by a tub (10) provided with an opening (11) extending almost down to the bottom of the tub and a hatch (15) to close this opening. When closing the bathtub before having a bath the hatch (15) is placed on the inside of the bathtub and the hydrostatic forces of the water forces the hatch against the edges of the opening where a seal is provided on the hatch. The sides and in particular the side with the opening are inclined or sloped outwards from the bottom so that the hatch with its seal will rest by its own weight against the seal. In particular seal (16), hatch (15) and the side of the bathtub are so arranged that a good sealing effect is always certain at the bottom of the bathtub when the rising water and the resulting hydrostatic pressure enable the sealing effect to climb upwards even on a light and slightly flexible hatch. This in turn enables the hatch to be very light and easy to handle it is thus no inconvenience to have a loose hatch. The hatch is suitably transparent or clear.

摘要： Apparatus for bathing invalids, or others with impaired ambulatory ability, comprises an enclosure (2) having a bathtub (3) and upstanding walls (4) which form a stall. The bathtub includes a seat (14, 15, 16) having an ant,amical contour and a lateral opening adjacent the seat to permit invalid ingress and egress. A door (7) with a generally wedge-shaped contour mates with and selectively closes the bathtub opening, and includes a seal (8) compressed between the lip (6) of the opening and the door to form a seal which is sufficiently leakproof to permit immersal bathing of a seated invalid. The door is slideably mounted on a hingeless track assembly (59), which vertically translates the door into the closed position and pivots the door as it is raised into a horizontal, overhead storage position. Shower heads (10) are mounted on the walls of the stall to provide both shower and immersal bathing for hygiene and therapy. The bathtub seat and opening are mutually orientated so as to permit an attendant to move the invalid laterally from a wheelchair directly onto the bathtub seat with minimum strain and hazard.

摘要： An improved inflatable cushion lift assembly for use a bathtub by a person taking a bath. The lift assembly is positioned on the floor (12) of a bathtub (10) and is connected to the bathtub faucet (18) to inflate the cushion (20). The cushion may be deflated while a person is sitting thereon to lower a person to the floor (12) of the tub (10). Furthermore, the cushion may be inflated while the person is sitting on the cushion on the floor (12) of the tub (10) to raise the user upwardly to allow the user to exist the tub (10) easily. The present improvement inhibits undesired movement of the cushion (20) while being used by utilizing a rigid bottom panel (21) and/or rigid top panel (30). Furthermore, the interior of the cushion (20) may be provided with baffles (48) or the like for dampening water oscillations within the cushion (20). The cushion (20), for reasons of stability, may also be tiered or formed in layers such that the cushion inflates or deflates in stages. In another embodiment, the cushion (20) may be placed in a rigid chair-like structure (40) having an apparatus (44, 46) on the chair back (41) which cooperates with a side wall of the cushion (20) to guide the cushion (20) during raising or lowering hereof. In yet another embodiment, a foldable valve (56) is provided for effecting controlled discharge of the water within the cushion. In another embodiment, a plurality of interconnecting plates (110, 112, 114) generally lining the side walls, rear wall, and floor (12) of the bathtub (10) are utilized to assist a bather safely in getting on and off the cushion lift (20) in maneuvering himself safely within the bathtub (10) during bathing.
