摘要： A golf swing praticing machine includes a doughnut shaped main frame which has on its entire circumference a circular face that is parallel to a golf club and player's arms and is gradually inclined from outside to the center. The main frame further has a center opening at its center and the upper half of the main frame is bent forward. The main frame is set up in a backwardly inclined state and on the front surface of the circular face are shown three loci indicating the clubhead arcs of backswing, downswing and follow-through and a plurality of straight lines indicating clubshaft arc. When a player swings his golf club along the circular face, the above-mentioned loci move laterally according to the player's weight shift producing substantially an elliptic swing arc.

摘要： A golf swing aid (100) constrains the swing of an associated headless golf club (106) to provide a golf student with proper golf club swing motion. Flanged backswing (102) and downswing (104) rails are intermediated by a continuous curved rail (110) and supported by a rail support (122). The curved shape of the rails is derived from the proper "inside out" professional-type golf swing and may be determined on a theoretical or experimental basis. A headless golf club (106) has a rolling clevis (108) that engages the flanged rails (102, 104) to roll thereupon. Alternatively, roller bearings (224, 226, 228) may allow the headless golf club to roll upon a cylindrical and self-supporting rail (102, 104) or the like. The golf student so engaging the headless golf club is then constrained in the golf swing to follow the shape of the rails. This requires the student to use the back muscles rather than the wrists, arms and shoulders to develop the proper swing action. The flanged rails (102, 104) have open ends so that when the point of impact is reached at the completion of the downswing, the student may follow through on the shot with the headless golf club leaving the downswing rail. The open end on the backswing rail then allows for quick reengagement of the backswing rail by the rolling clevis. The golf student may also benefit by visual contemplation of the shape of the golf swing aid of the present invention as visual memory will complement the muscle memory achieved through use of the present invention.

By allowing for three levels of adjustment, namely of track inclination, track height and shaft position transversely of the track (radially in the case of a circular track) the apparatus can very easily be adjusted to simulate the ideal swing path for anyone with normal ranges of stature within a matter of minutes.
