    摘要: Tapered roller bearings have in many design forms an inner ring, an outer ring and a plurality of tapered rollers which are arranged to roll between the inner ring and outer ring. It is the object of the present invention to propose a method for producing a tapered roller assembly which can be mounted in a particularly simple manner. For this purpose, a method for producing a tapered roller assembly (1) having an inner ring (3) and a roller ring (12) is proposed, wherein the method comprises the following steps: a) providing the inner ring (3), wherein the inner ring (3) has a flanged mounting rim (10) which is produced within a preliminary flanging stage by flanging over an edge region (6) of the inner ring (3); b) mounting the roller ring (12) on the inner ring (3), wherein the roller ring (12) is pushed over the flanged mounting rim (10) onto the inner ring (3); c) flanging over the flanged mounting rim (10) into a flanged rim (15), wherein the flanged rim (15), as a retaining rim, captively retains the roller ring (12); and d) heat-treating the flanged mounting rim (10) before step b) or step c), wherein a hardness of the flanged mounting rim (10) is reduced by comparison with a hardness of a raceway (5) of the inner ring (3). Also proposed is a tapered roller bearing (20) formed with such a tapered roller assembly (1).

The aim of the invention is to propose a method for producing an inner ring for a tapered roller bearing which is cost-effective but at the same time leads to a sufficiently high quality of the inner ring. For this purpose, a method for producing an inner ring (2) for a tapered roller bearing (2) is proposed in which the inner ring (2) has a raceway portion (13) and a fixed edge portion (14), said method comprising the steps of: providing an inner ring blank (25), the inner ring blank (25) having an unfinished raceway portion (26) and an unfinished fixed edge portion (27), the unfinished fixed edge portion (27) having a larger outside diameter than the unfinished raceway portion (26), and the inner ring blank (25) having a through-opening (28); cold forming the inner ring blank (25) into the inner ring (2) by means of extrusion in a main forming step, wherein the unfinished fixed edge portion (27) is transformed into the fixed edge portion (14) and the unfinished raceway portion (26) is transformed into the raceway portion (13).
