In der Mischkammer (2) befindet sich ein über den Querschnitt der Mischkammer (2) reichendes Mischwerkzeug (3), welches während des Mischvorganges axial über die Länge der Mischkammer (2) vorzugsweise mehrfach verstellbar ist. Bevorzugt ist die Mischkammer (2) vertikal angeordnet und hat an ihrem unteren Ende eine Entleerungsöffnung (4), während am oberen Ende ein Deckel (9) mit einfüllöffnungen für die Mischungsbestandteile angeordnet ist. Durch die mehrfache Axialbewegung des Mischwerkzeuges (3) innerhalb der Mischkammer (2) wird nicht nur in jedem Querschnitt eine Durchmischung erzielt, sondern das Material auch in axialer Richtung durchmischt.

There are provided a device and a method allowing that the surface of an admixture in a stirring tank pressed by a packing device is smoothed with a simple structure whereby a casting mold is precisely molded. A mold-making device includes a stirring device 3 that has a stirring tank 1 and stirring blades 2 and stirs a particulate aggregate and an additive(s) to yield an admixture M, a forming mold 4 that molds the admixture M into a predetermined shape, and a packing device 5 that compresses a surface of the admixture M within the stirring tank 1 and packs it into the forming mold 4. The stirring blades 2 are configured in a lattice pattern by a plurality of horizontal members 21 and a plurality of vertical members 22. A distal end of a rotating drive shaft 23 is bonded to the top edge of the stirring blades 2, and the rotating drive shaft 23 is configured so that it is not immersed into the admixture M. Scrapers 29 for smoothing out the surface of the admixture M are provided on the bottom of the stirring blades 2.

In order to provide a mixing device of the type mentioned above which permits the fastest possible heating of the mixture, preferably also to temperatures above 200°C, it is proposed that the container be composed at least partially of an electrically conductive material and the heating device comprise at least one coil which can be excited by an alternating electric field and which is arranged in such a way that eddy currents are produced in the electrically conductive material of the container by the magnetic field change that arises when the current flow is changed.
