A method and apparatus for forming a cement or plaster slurry wherein bags of cement or plaster are fed into a macerator, to comminute the bag material and to mix it with the cement or plaster, the resulting mixture is fed into a chamber into which water is also fed at a controlled rate and mixed with it, the resulting product being pumped to a point of use. The pumping is preferably carried out by a helical gear pump having a feed auger which has a reverse pitch flight therein to assist in the mixing of the macerated bag material and cement with the water.

A mixer having i) a vessel defining a mixing chamber surrounded by boundary walls for receiving a mixture containing lumps therein, ii) a plurality of mixing blades, and iii) a driving mechanism supporting the mixing blades in the mixing chamber for mixing motion relative to the vessel so as to mix the mixture within the mixing chamber of the vessel, further includes at least one lump conditioning blade. The lump conditioning blade is supported by the driving mechanism such that the lump conditioning blade is movable in a working direction along a respective one of the boundary walls with a working edge of the blade being maintained at a prescribed space from the boundary wall which is effective to reduce a lump size of the lumps in the mixture as the mixture passes between the working edge of the lump conditioning blade and the boundary wall.

[Object] Behavior of a flow of foam or foaming agent ejected to a gypsum slurry can be stabilized, and a relatively large amount of foam or foaming agent can be homogeneously or uniformly dispersed in the slurry. [Solution] A mixer (10) has a mixing area (10a) for preparing gypsum slurry(3), a slurry delivery section (4) for delivering the slurry from the mixing area, and a feeding port (60) for feeding foam (M) or a foaming agent to the slurry in the mixing area and/or the slurry delivery section under pressure. The slurry having the foam mixed therein is supplied to a production line (1) for forming gypsum boards or gypsum-based boards. The feeding port is provided with a partition member (62,64,65) dividing an ejecting region (61,61'). The ejecting region is divided into a plurality of openings (63), which simultaneously eject the foam or forming agent to the slurry.

The invention concerns a method for controlling at least one workability parameter of concrete (14) contained in a container (12) of a mixer (11) with a non-vertical axis of rotation. The method comprises the following steps: rotating the container at at least two different rotational speeds; determining, for each of said rotational speeds, a rotary drive torque C of the container, a shear stress value τ of the concrete and a speed gradient γ of the concrete according to the following relationships: τ = T (ω). C γ = G (ω). ω where T and G are predetermined functions; determining a relationship of change of shear stress τ on the basis of speed gradient γ by extrapolation and/or approximation from the determined values; and providing an indication of the workability parameter of the concrete from the relationship of change.

Das Verfahren zum Verfestigen von Betonbauwerken, z.B. aus Ziegelsplittbeton, und zum Herstellen von Mörteln, Betonen besteht darin, daß man einen Zementleim oder Zementmörtel aus einer Mischung aus Wasser, einem Zusatzmittel mit verflüssigenden und fließmittelähnlichen Eigenschaften aus einem alkalikondensationsfähigen Harz, z.B. Ketonharz und einer eine hohe Verseifungsfestigkeit aufweisenden Kunstharzdispersion, z.B. Acrylharz - oder Butadienstyroldispersion und einem Zement durch Vermischen bei einer niedriger Mischgeschwindigkeit (etwa 500 U/min) in der Anfangsphase und bei einer sich hieran anschliesenden hohen Mischgeschwindigkeit (etwa 2800 U/min) herstellt und in Wandbauteile injiziert oder in Formen eingießt.

Bei einem Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polystyrolbeton mindestens unter Verwendung von Wasser, Zement und Polystyrolschaum in einem mit einer Mischwelle versehenen Betonmischer wird in den als Mischtrog ausgebildeten Betonmischer Wasser eingefüllt und Zement nachgeschüttet, wobei die Mischwelle mit einer Drehzahl gedreht wird welche in etwa doppelt so hoch ist wie die übliche Drehzahl des Betonmischers; danach wird unter Beigabe des Polystyrolschaums mit üblicher Drehzahl gearbeitet.
