    摘要: The invention relates to a method for picking up and placing a tire components, wherein the method includes the steps of picking up a supplied first tire component with a transfer drum, rotating the transfer drum in a first direction for winding a predetermined length of the continuous length of the first tire component, rotating the transfer drum in the opposite second direction, while at the same time moving the transfer drum downstream into a cutting position, wherein a part of the predetermined length of the first tire component is unwound from the transfer drum, cutting the unwound part, thereby obtaining a cut-to-length first tire component, and rotating the transfer drum again in the first direction for winding up the unwound part of the cut-to-length first tire component up to the trailing end.

    摘要: A method for verifying the correct formation of the beads in a process and a plant for building tyres for vehicle wheels, comprises: loading a plurality of annular anchoring structures (6) in a storage (20), disposing them in two groups (23, 24) separated by an opening (34); positioning a building drum (11) provided with a carcass sleeve in a tyre bead-forming machine (42); picking up two of the annular anchoring structures (6) from the storage (20) and loading them on the tyre bead-forming machine (42). In a work area (43) of the tyre bead-forming machine (42), on each of two axially opposite zones of the carcass sleeve, a respective annular anchoring structure (6) is fit and each of the abovementioned zones is turned up around the respective annular anchoring structure (6) to form the beads (5). The aforesaid opening (34) allows an operator to conduct a visual inspection of the work area (43) and/or access the work area (43) during the entire work cycle of the machine 42.
