    摘要: Providing a ribbon cassette capable of allowing a worker to inspect whether a component for applying rotational load to a ribbon spool is properly assembled, the inspection being performed on the basis of only a single ribbon cassette. A rotating member 290 attached with a clutch spring 280 is amounted on an upper inner surface 242 of the ribbon spool 200. The ribbon spool 200 has a first protruding part 211 provided at a lower inner surface 241. A lower case 103 has a second support hole 112 with which a protruding part 200D of the ribbon spool 200 is fitted. The second support hole 112 is positioned closer to the lower inner surface 241 than to the upper inner surface 242, and is in communication with a mounting 200A. At least a part of the second support hole 112 is overlapped, in a direction of an axis P, with an entire circular region which is a path of a rotation of a radially protruding end of the first protruding part 211.

    摘要: In a dye transfer printer, a donor web having successive dye transfer areas and opposite longitudinal edge areas alongside each one of the dye transfer areas is subjected to a longitudinal tension when the donor web is advanced in the printer. The longitudinal tension can stretch the dye transfer areas more than the edge areas because the dye transfer areas, but not the edge areas, are heated at a print head. According to the invention, the resistance of the edge areas relative to the dye transfer areas, to being stretched, is weakened so that the edge areas can be stretched substantially the same as the dye transfer areas. If the edge areas alongside a dye transfer area being used are stretched substantially the same as the dye transfer area, the likelihood of any creases being created in the next unused transfer area is substantially reduced. Thus, no line artifacts will be printed on a dye receiver during dye transfer in the printer.
