Abstract:
Coupling of conveyor belt modules A module (2) for a modular conveyor chain, comprising a link portion (3) made of sheet metal that includes a substantially elongate conveying body (4), the conveying body having a central hinge loop (5A) on one longitudinal side thereof and a pair of offset hinge loops (5B) on an opposite longitudinal side thereof that are interspaced to receive the central hinge loop of a link portion of a consecutive module therebetween. The central hinge loop and/or or the offset hinge loops are distanced with their free end(s) from a bottom face of the conveying body to form a through pass aperture (16) through which a hinge pin (12) held in the hinge receiving space(s) of the hinge loops of other module may pass transversely to its axis into or out of its hinge receiving space.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to a pitch for a modular conveyor belt. In some embodiments, the pitch may include a link having a first leg, including an opening formed in the first leg. The opening may be defined by a first edge, a second edge opposite the first edge, a first side edge, and a second side edge opposite the first side edge. In addition, the pitch may include a projection associated with the first edge. In a first position, the projection may extend substantially perpendicularly away from the first edge towards the second edge so that a free end of the projection is positioned proximate the second edge. Also, the projection may be configured to deflect to a second position, in which the free end of the projection is deflected within the opening towards one of the first side edge and the second side edge.
Abstract:
A silent chain is described, particularly for conveyors, comprising a plurality of links (1A, 1B) connected to each other. Each link comprises two pins (2) connected to each other by a plurality of plates (100) between which are intercalated link plates (100') connected to a pin of a link (1A) and to a pin of the adjacent link (1B), and two end plates (3) provided with two holes (32, 32', 32") for the passage of said pins (2). The end plate (3) comprises a countersunk seat (33) formed around each hole (32, 32', 32") and the pin (2) comprises a tapered end (20) which is accommodated in the countersunk seat (33) of the end plate (3), so as not to protrude outward from the end plate (3) and to maximise the contact surface.
Abstract:
A hinge conveyor chain includes at least two link, each of the link include a pin engaging surface for engaging a pin hingedly coupling the at least two links together. A pin hingedly coupling the at least two links includes an outwardly facing surface slidably engaging at least one of the pin engaging surfaces of the surfaces of the at least two links. One of the outwardly facing surface and the at least one pin engaging surfaces of the at least two links is formed from a steel alloy with at least about 2.5 wt.% Cu and the other of the outwardly facing surface and the at least one of the pin engaging surfaces of the at least one of the at least two links is formed from a stainless steel.
Abstract:
An assembly for hingedly coupling parts of a conveyor comprising a first conveyor part (2) provided with a row of hinge eyes positioned in alignment, and an end hinge eye (7b) with an enlarged hinge hole (8b) which is positioned somewhat out of alignment and with a locking surface adjacent to the hinge hole and positioned in alignment The assembly further comprises a second part (3) such that the conveyor parts can cooperate in a coupled condition by receiving hinge eyes in corresponding interspaces, and a hinge pin provided with a central body part (3) such that the conveyor parts can cooperate in a coupled condition by receiving hinge eyes in corresponding interspaces and a hinge pin provided with a central body part (15) with a thickened head (16)which is able to pass the end hinge hole (8b),but not the next hinge hole(12)in coupled condition. In coupled condition the thickened head (16) is located between the end hinge eye and the next hinge eye (14) such that the hinge pin is axially locked between the e locking surface of the end hinge eye on the one side and the next hinge eye on the other side The thickened head (16) bears a projection which reaches into he hinge hole of end hinge eye in coupled condition.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a link conveyor, especially for round-bale presses for compacting rubbish, comprising a plurality of aluminium link strips (2) which especially consist of multichamber extruded profiles, the respective ends of said strips being interconnected in an articulated manner by means of round rods (3). The aim of the invention is to simplify the production and increase the service life of one such link conveyor. To this end, the round rods (3) are inserted in oblong hole profiles (7).
Abstract:
A belt module (10), modular belt assembly and method of configuring a modular belt to provide an edge portion for retaining a headed pivot rod (103). The edge portion has a blocking member (70) disposed in a slot (73) and movable between a first open position and a second closed position. In, the closed position, the blocking member extends into an edge portion pivot rod opening (51) to prevent the headed pivot rod from exiting the edge portion pivot rod opening. The edge portion pivot rod opening is larger than the first and second pivot rod openings in the first and second link ends of the belt module such that the pivot rod can only be removed in one direction.
