    摘要: An elevator (11) is provided with a car (13), an inner door (15) mounted to the car (13) and outer doors (17) mounted to floor openings (19) which defines floor zones (21), wherein the inner door (15) registers with the outer doors (17) when the car is disposed within one of the floor zones (21). The elevator includes a door restrictor (42) having an electrical solenoid (53) mounted to the car so that the inner door (15) cannot be opened more than four inches when the elevator is between floor zones (21). The electric solenoid (53) has a plunger (55) which is normally in an extended position to block the inner door (15) from opening. Power will only be applied to the electric solenoid (53) to lift the plunger (55) from the extended position to a retracted position to allow the inner door (15) to be fully opened when both the car (13) is disposed within a floor zone (21) and the inner doors (15) are being opened by the main elevator controls (39). A floor zone sensor (45, 47) is mounted to the car (13) for detecting when the elevator is disposed within one of the floor zones (21). A door sensor (49, 51) is also mounted to the car (13) for detecting when the inner door (15) is being opened by the main elevator controls (39). A controller (43) operates the electric solenoid (53) to lift the plunger (55) from the extended position in response to receiving both a door data signal from the door sensor (49, 51) and a floor zone data signal from the floor zone sensor (45, 47).

    摘要: An electromagnetic door lock assembly (30) includes a first portion (32) supported relative to hoistway doors (22) and a second portion (34) supported for movement with an elevator car (24). The first and second portions cooperate so that electromagnetic interaction between them unlocks a set of hoistway doors (22) for access to the car (24), for example. In disclosed embodiments, a first portion (32) of the actuator has at least one stationary electromagnetic portion (36A, 36B) and at least one moveable portion (38). The second portion (34) that moves with the car (24) includes at least one stationary electromagnetic portion (44). Magnetic interaction between the first and second portions (32, 34) causes selected movement of the moveable portion (38) for selectively locking or unlocking the doors (22).
