The present invention relates to a fertilizing composition comprising: - urea granules comprising urea in an amount from 95-100 % w/w of urea wherein the urea granules are in the composition in a range from 90-98% w/w; - a layer which comprises sulfur having a particle size from 5 to 80 µm measured by laser diffraction and at least a binder; wherein the urea granules are at least partially coated by the sulfur layer; and wherein the layer is in an amount in the composition from 2-10% w/w. In addition, the present invention relates to a method thereof and system to manufacture said fertilizer composition in a safe and effective way.

The invention relates to a solid, particulate, urea-based blend composition comprising a urea-based compound in particulate form, one or more components in particulate form, selected from the group of nitrates, phosphates, sulphates and chlorides, and a urease inhibitor of the type phosphoric triamide, in particular N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (nBTPT), wherein the urea-based blend composition is further characterized in that it comprises one or more reactive alkaline or alkaline-forming inorganic or organic compounds. This invention relates to a urea granule with a nitrogen stabilizer and carrier system substantially homogenously dispersed throughout the granule thickness. Several methods are disclosed to make the urea granule, including prilling, fluidized bed, and drum granulation. The carrier system can comprise any solvent system that is both: (1) stable at urea melt temperatures of ˜120° C.; (2) able to solvate the nitrogen stabilizer system; and (3) miscible in molten urea. Such carrier systems can be blends of NMP and a glycol (e.g. propylene glycol). The nitrogen stabilizer can include a urease inhibitor, such as NBPT, where the NBPT purity can be between 90 and 99%. The nitrogen stabilizer can also include a nitrification inhibitor, such as DCD.
